About the Role
Create online help content that helps customers use MathWorks tools to solve challenging engineering problems. Become integral members of a cross-functional team with a common goal: to develop high-quality easy-to-use software for customers ranging from students to advanced engineers. Write documentation and examples for System Identification Toolbox and Simulink Design Optimization. Write user-focused online content that explains key concepts and solutions to our end users. Develop examples and tutorials that show how to use our software to solve a variety of technical computing problems. Identify and fill gaps in existing information. Participate in the development of products, review software requirements and functional designs, and suggest improvements.
Compensation
Rate of Pay: $92,500.00 to $143,400.00
Responsibilities
- Create online help content that helps customers use MathWorks tools to solve challenging engineering problems.
- Become integral members of a cross-functional team with a common goal: to develop high-quality easy-to-use software for customers ranging from students to advanced engineers.
- Write documentation and examples for System Identification Toolbox and Simulink Design Optimization.
- Write user-focused online content that explains key concepts and solutions to our end users.
- Develop examples and tutorials that show how to use our software to solve a variety of technical computing problems.
- Identify and fill gaps in existing information.
- Participate in the development of products, review software requirements and functional designs, and suggest improvements.
Qualifications
Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Engineering (any), or related field and no experience.
Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any), and three [3] years of experience in the job offered or in an Engineering Technical Writer-related occupation.
Position requires demonstratable experience with each of the following:
- Demonstrated expertise programming in MATLAB or Simulink to solve real-world problems in science or engineering domains;
- Demonstrated expertise with control system design and optimization;
- Writing a technical documentation such as a manual, report, journal articles for a technical audience; and
- Demonstrated ability to explain practical engineering concepts in the classroom or in writing such as blog articles, journals, or similar.
Experience may be gained during graduate program. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience. Multiple positions available.
