Engineering Tech Writer

Raycom Electronics, Inc. a leading designer and manufacturer of custom magnetics and electronic assemblies used in military, space, avionics, industrial, commercial and mission critical applications is looking to fill our Engineering Tech Writer position.

Key Responsibilities

• Create product control plans (PCPs) from engineering drawings.
• Work with production/design engineer on ECN’s and PCP changes/additions.
• Liaison between production/QC and design engineering.
• Begin new product quoting process and obtain vendor quotes.
• Assign new material part numbers including pertinent ordering information.
• Attend company meetings supplying technical information when required.
• Review customer drawing revision changes for materials and manufacturability.
• Maintain the drawing release to production process.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge with Microsoft Office.
• Reliable math skills for figuring totals, drawing dimensions and timelines.
• Familiarity with database software such as EVO, DBA, AS400 etc.
• Accurate and organized work habits with a “can-do” attitude.
• Working knowledge with engineering drawings and technical literature.
• Proficient in note taking and documentation.
• Skillful technical writing and communication.

Preferred Skills

• AutoCAD/TurboCAD (or similar) working in 2D.

Education/Experience

AAS degree, Tech school or equivalent working experience preferred.

Pay

$30.33 - $36.53 per hour
