The Institute of Computer Science (InIT) in Winterthur focuses on distributed systems, human-centered computing, information security, intelligent information systems, and software engineering. We research and develop innovative information technology, software systems, and services in collaboration with national and international industry and university partners.

Responsibilities

• Engage in hands-on research and development projects at InIT.
• Develop software and services across various platforms.
• Publish findings through scientific contributions and open-source software.
• Participation in practice-oriented research and development projects in one of the research focuses of the Institute of Computer Science (InIT)
• Development of software and services with various technologies and programming languages for different server and client platforms
• Publication of results in the form of scientific contributions, demonstrators, and open source software
• Occasional support of lecturers in teaching (e.g., in exercises and practicals)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field required.
• Experience in software development and research focus areas.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in teams.
• You have a university of applied sciences degree in computer science or a related field, possibly also a master's degree.
• You enjoy independent scientific work and have experience in software development and in at least one of the research focuses of InIT.
• Enjoying work in interdisciplinary project teams, creativity in finding solutions for challenging problems, as well as precise and reliable work are further prerequisites for these positions.
• A quick grasp of concepts as well as a communicative, flexible, and results-oriented working style will facilitate your entry.

Additional Information

Engineers in Computer Science or Information Technology 50 - 100 %

You enjoy independent scientific work and have experience in software development. This position involves fixed-term qualification roles, which are especially suitable for recent graduates.
