About

The Enrollment Data Alignment Operations Business Analyst (BA) is a crucial member of the EDA CORE team, working fully remotely to support the ER&R/1095-A program. This role involves dispute processing and data analysis related to the health insurance exchanges. As a Business Analyst, you will take charge of aligning business objectives, reviewing metrics, delivering insightful content, analyzing critical data, ensuring quality control of deliverables, researching complex issues, and maintaining communication with both internal and external customers. Your responsibilities will include driving continuous process improvement for the reconciliation process and collaborating with training staff to enhance stakeholder understanding of transaction triaging and reconciliation. You will also address ad-hoc requests from diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Process Improvement:

  • Identify, document, and analyze discrepancies and anomalies within EDA datasets, focusing on 834 data.
  • Conduct daily validations for various reports.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for data validation and coordinate with the Product Owner and developers.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of business rules to improve processes, recommend solutions, enhance team performance, and drive client objectives.
  • Support and lead EDA CORE process improvements.

Collaboration:

  • Communicate complex technical issues in accessible terms for non-technical audiences.
  • Provide insights as a data SME to answer internal and external queries.
  • Collaborate with external teams to support weekly reporting with a focus on X12 834 transactions.
  • Prepare and validate reports and presentations on dispute metrics, team performance, and issuer performance topics.

Content Development:

  • Create, update, and support essential documentation efforts.
  • Engage effectively with internal and external clients, including the ability to present to large audiences and conduct webinars.

Required minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (4 years) in lieu of degree.
  • Proven experience analyzing data and presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Demonstrated depth in data analysis and reconciliation experience.
  • Excellent relationship building and self-management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving work environment.
  • Skill in managing and delivering multiple tasks with an emphasis on quality and completeness.
  • Proactive in identifying and implementing process enhancements.
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, Snowflake, or similar tools.
  • Background in Finance or Health Care.
  • Familiarity with the Affordable Care Act.
  • A self-driven approach to continuous learning.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data sets and identify anomalies based on business rules.
  • Experience with EDA CORE preferred.
  • Understanding of EDA datasets (e.g., FFM Extract, RCNO, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience with reading and analyzing 834 X12 transaction data, especially in the context of the Marketplace.

Compensation for ASM Research positions may vary based on factors such as location, skill set, education level, certifications, client requirements, contract affordability, government clearance levels, and years of experience.
