About the role
Role overview
- Design, develop, and implement enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure solutions across multiple projects and products.
- Work as an individual contributor while collaborating closely with managers and senior managers.
- Drive best practices and strategic cloud infrastructure planning across large-scale public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Build robust, modern solutions through hands-on architecture, coding, and testing.
- Develop technical documentation and executive-level presentations.
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-senior level engineers.
- Align cloud solutions with business goals through cross-functional collaboration.
- Stay current with cloud technologies and industry trends.
- Identify and mitigate risks; troubleshoot complex issues.
- Advocate for cloud best practices and standards.
Minimum experience
- 10+ years of hands-on experience engineering AWS Cloud Infra Platforms.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (preferred).
- Cloud certification(s) preferred.
- Experience working in mission-critical environments preferred.
Technical skills
- Engineering resilient, highly available cloud solutions in secure multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, network architecture, security, and identity management.
- Building cloud environments (accounts, VPCs) and software-defined networking for enterprise-wide connectivity.
- Designing fault-tolerant platforms with failover and recovery strategies.
- DevOps and modern CI/CD methodologies and tooling.
- Automating cloud orchestration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Cloud-native development frameworks and tools (VPC, Lambda, SNS).
- Cloud scalability and right-sizing resources.
- Using analytics and KPIs to continuously improve cloud platforms.
Soft skills
- Ability to train and develop mid- to senior-level engineers.
- Strong understanding of mission-critical environments.
- Ability to advise both technical and non-technical stakeholders on cloud strategy.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
