Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect – Cloud to lead the design and execution of enterprise-scale cloud architecture initiatives. In this strategic role, you will drive cloud transformation, migration strategies, and enterprise system integration while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned with business objectives.

You will work closely with executive leadership, engineering teams, and enterprise stakeholders to modernize infrastructure, guide cloud adoption, and implement cloud-native technologies across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Cloud Strategy & Architecture

• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise cloud architecture aligned with organizational goals and IT strategy.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive cloud roadmap supporting modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
• Architect scalable, secure, high-performance, and cost-optimized cloud solutions, primarily using Microsoft Azure, with exposure to AWS and Google Cloud.

Cloud Migration & Infrastructure Modernization

• Oversee the migration of on-premises applications and workloads to cloud environments while minimizing disruption and maximizing performance.
• Design and implement hybrid and multi-cloud architectures integrating on-premise systems with cloud platforms.

DevOps & Automation

• Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Promote DevOps best practices, enabling CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
• Support cloud-native development leveraging containers, microservices, and serverless architectures.

Technical Leadership

• Provide architectural guidance and leadership to engineering and architecture teams.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, translating business requirements into technical architecture solutions.
• Establish enterprise architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.

Security & Innovation

• Ensure cloud security, identity management, data protection, and compliance across enterprise platforms.
• Continuously evaluate emerging cloud technologies and industry trends to support innovation and improve operational efficiency.

Required Technical Skills

• Microsoft Azure cloud platform
• Enterprise cloud architecture and cloud migration strategy
• Hybrid cloud and multi-cloud architecture
• Microservices and cloud-native application architectures
• Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Serverless computing
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Terraform
• DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
• Cloud security best practices (IAM, encryption, network security)
• Cloud cost optimization and resource management
• Enterprise systems integration
• Agile development methodologies

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Azure Solutions Architect Certification
• Automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI
• Experience with cloud governance platforms such as CloudHealth or CloudBolt
• Exposure to cloud data lakes and big data architectures
• Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, enterprise architecture, or similar roles within enterprise environments.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise cloud solutions and migration strategies.
• Leadership experience guiding technical teams, architects, or engineering projects.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to executive and non-technical stakeholders.
