Enterprise Architect

About

The Enterprise Architect will lead enterprise architecture strategy, governance, and digital transformation initiatives for the Government of Saskatchewan.

This role will function as a senior advisor, ensuring alignment between business strategy and IT architecture while establishing governance frameworks, standards, and long-term roadmaps across multiple domains.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Governance

• Lead enterprise architecture strategy, standards, and governance frameworks
• Develop architecture principles, policies, and roadmaps
• Chair architecture governance boards and review committees

Solution Architecture Oversight

• Review and approve solution architectures across domains
• Ensure alignment with enterprise standards and security frameworks
• Support integrated architecture across business, application, data, and technology layers

Business Capability & Transformation

• Support business capability planning and service design
• Align IT strategy with organizational goals
• Drive digital transformation and modernization initiatives

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Partner with business and IT leadership
• Mentor and guide architecture teams
• Provide strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders

Compliance & Security Alignment

• Ensure architecture aligns with cybersecurity and compliance requirements
• Support enterprise-wide governance and regulatory adherence

Must-Have Qualifications

• TOGAF 9 (or newer) Certification - Required
• Strong Enterprise Architecture experience in a formal architecture practice
• Experience working within structured frameworks (TOGAF-based environments)
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan
• Availability for part-time (:24 hrs/week) engagement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with public sector / government organizations
• Experience in digital transformation and modernization initiatives
• Experience in enterprise governance and architecture boards
• Experience in multi-domain architecture (Business, Application, Data, Technology, Security)
