Enterprise Architect - Solution Governance & Agentic AI

Position Summary

The Enterprise Architect plays a dual-accountability role, equally responsible for Enterprise Solution Governance and hands-on Solution Architecture delivery. The role emphasizes Agentic AI workflows and cloud-native platforms. The ideal candidate operates at the Architecture Review Board (ARB) level to shape standards and enforce governance while designing, prototyping, and validating complex solutions. Key technical focuses include Agentic AI, Generative AI (GenAI) platforms, and intelligent orchestration patterns using AWS Bedrock and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Vertex AI.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture & Solution Governance

• Lead and execute enterprise solution governance processes, ensuring alignment with EA standards and integration/security patterns.
• Participate in the Architecture Review Board (ARB) for decision-making, risk assessment, and solution approvals.
• Establish and operate a "Permit-to-Build" tollgate for greenfield and modernization initiatives across Lines of Business.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory mandates (HIPAA, GDPR, SOX) regarding cloud, data, and AI architectures.
• Lead architecture scoring and design quality assessments to ensure resiliency, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with peer Enterprise Architects on initiative reviews and pipeline management.

Solution Architecture & Hands-On Agentic AI Development

• Design and implement end-to-end solution architectures into executable designs and working prototypes.
• Lead hands-on Proofs of Concept (POCs) for Agentic AI patterns, including autonomous agents, task orchestration, and multi-agent workflows.
• Architect and build Agentic AI workflows using AWS Bedrock and/or Google Cloud Platform Vertex AI.
• Translate business problems into AI-enabled architectures, including prompt strategies, agent memory, and tool integration.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to bridge architecture and implementation through reference implementations.

Technology Evaluation & Innovation Enablement

• Evaluate new technology platforms and AI services prior to enterprise onboarding.
• Drive architectural clarity around GenAI and emerging cloud-native patterns.
• Contribute to the evolution of reference architectures for AI-enabled and event-driven solutions.

EA Tooling, Metrics & Enablement

• Define and track solution governance KPIs using EA tools (e.g., technology debt, approval outcomes).
• Support EA enablement tools (SharePoint, Power Automate, PowerApps, Power BI).

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: 8-10+ years in Enterprise and Solution Architecture with active participation in ARBs.
• Governance: Strong experience creating and enforcing reference architectures in regulated environments.
• Delivery: Recent hands-on experience designing/building cloud-native and GenAI solutions (not just reviewing them).
• AI Skills: Proven experience building Agentic AI or GenAI-driven POCs.
• Cloud Knowledge: Deep knowledge of AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (compute, networking, AI services).
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (MBA a plus).
• Certifications (Preferred): TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Platform Professional Architect.
