IT Project Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead large-scale enterprise technology initiatives focused on AMI 2.0 and Technology Integration (TI) workstreams within utility infrastructure environments. This role combines end-to-end project delivery ownership with financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, vendor coordination, and enterprise stakeholder management.

The ideal candidate brings strong project management experience across large enterprise programs, financial oversight capabilities, and the ability to bridge business and technical teams within complex infrastructure and systems integration environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Technology Integration (TI) workstreams for AMI 2.0 initiatives
• Prepare, analyze, manage, and deliver financial reports, forecasts, variance analysis, and budget tracking
• Collaborate closely with technical teams, TI leadership, and business stakeholders to align project milestones and deliverables
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans (IPP), project schedules, work breakdown structures, and resource plans
• Track project scope against baseline requirements and support formal change control processes
• Document scope changes, assess impacts, and escalate risks/issues to senior leadership as needed
• Maintain audit-ready documentation related to financial transactions, milestones, and project deliverables
• Identify project risks, opportunities, and corrective action plans
• Support procurement activities, vendor management, and IT contract negotiations
• Coordinate activities across multiple technical and business workstreams within large-scale enterprise initiatives
• Provide regular project updates, reporting, and communication to leadership and stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong project management experience supporting large enterprise initiatives with multiple workstreams and releases
• Experience managing financial estimates, forecasts, budgets, reporting, and variance analysis
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced Excel and reporting capabilities
• Broad IT infrastructure knowledge with the ability to understand enterprise delivery dependencies
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills
• Strong risk management, issue resolution, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to quickly adapt and execute within fast-paced enterprise programs
• Ability to bridge business requirements with technical solutions
• Experience personally executing day-to-day project management deliverables
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
• 3+ years of project management experience with strong financial planning and reporting responsibilities
• Experience supporting large-scale utility technology initiatives such as AMI, Grid Modernization, or related programs
• Stable work history within large enterprise organizations
• 3+ years of Big 4 consulting experience preferred

Desired Skills

• Experience with AMI 1.0 or AMI 2.0 smart grid initiatives
• Experience with utility technology integrations including MDMS, head-end systems, OMS, SAP, and ADMS
• Experience presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• PMP or CAPM certification preferred
• Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or related discipline preferred
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and financial compliance within utility or IT environments
• Strong vendor management and IT contract negotiation experience
