Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Agile Practice Manager, plan, coordinate, and manage enterprise releases across multiple business units and technology platforms.
  • Own the end-to-end release process, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating releases across enterprise systems using all project management methodologies.
  • Define and enforce release governance, frameworks, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Manage release calendars, dependencies, and resource allocation across multiple projects and environments.
  • Coordinate with development, QA, UAT facilitator, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure readiness for deployment.
  • Partner with architecture and operations teams to ensure technical feasibility and operational stability of releases.
  • Oversee risk identification and mitigation strategies for releases, including rollback plans and contingency measures.
  • Ensure compliance with ITIL processes, change management policies, and security standards during release cycles.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for release management and delivery frameworks.
  • Track and report release metrics, providing transparency to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate Portfolio Release Enterprise Planning (PREP) sessions to prioritize and bundle deliverables for maximum business impact.
  • Drive value realization by coordinating enterprise-wide releases that accelerate benefits and support OTIP’s hybrid Ogile (Agile + Waterfall) methodology.
  • Develop integrated release plans aligned with timelines across all projects in the portfolio and organizational priorities.
  • Manage scope, quality, and communication across projects impacting releases.
  • Facilitate release readiness reviews and post-release retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage project scope, quality, resources and communications and identify and manage risks and issues effectively.
  • Guide and coach project teams through development and monitoring of risk approaches.
  • Manage change and competing demands and determine impact on budget, time and risk using fact-based metrics and assumptions.
  • Manage project timelines to an appropriate level of detail.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and effectively communicate with project owners such as leadership teams and key business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate, participate and/or lead review sessions with leaders to identify necessary support or action to ensure successful delivery of projects.

Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile certifications (e.g. SAFe-RTE), ITIL or equivalent certification preferred.
  • University degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in release management, project management, or IT delivery roles within enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience managing complex release cycles across multiple platforms and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Enterprise IT processes, governance frameworks, and technology implementation practices.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects across differing sectors within the business.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in an environment where project processes and frameworks are in early stages of maturity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple dependencies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage risk effectively.
