Enterprise / Solution Architect (Digital Operations)

Role Purpose

The Enterprise / Solution Architect provides strategic and technical leadership for the design, integration, and modernization of enterprise technology environments. This role ensures alignment between business objectives and digital capabilities, supporting large-scale transformation initiatives across public sector organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Define enterprise architecture strategy aligned with organizational goals and digital transformation objectives
• Design end-to-end solution architectures across applications, data, integration, and infrastructure layers
• Develop integration strategies to connect legacy systems, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications
• Lead architecture governance processes, including design reviews and technical decision forums
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory standards
• Evaluate emerging technologies (cloud, AI, automation) and recommend adoption strategies
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Support implementation teams to ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture
• Proven experience designing large-scale digital transformation solutions
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with system integration, APIs, and microservices architecture
• Experience in public sector or regulated environments preferred
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Preferred Certifications

• TOGAF Certification
• AWS / Azure Solution Architect Certification
• CISSP or equivalent security certification

Work Model

• Remote-first delivery model leveraging secure collaboration tools
• Ability to provide onsite support across New York State for workshops, architecture sessions, and key milestones as required
• Hybrid delivery aligned with client and project-specific needs
