Enterprise Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

• The Solution Architect translates requirements created by functional analysts into the architecture that will constitute the design/blueprint for the solution.
• Communicate and describe the solution through architecture and design artifacts. Ensures the solution aligns with the roadmaps established by enterprise architecture and associated principles. Drives alignment and buy-in across the development team.
• Skills: Serve as primary technical contact with the client. Gather product requirements from customers. Evaluate, and when necessary prototype, alternatives to determine the most appropriate approach for each solution. Determine how to satisfy these requirements. Where appropriate, define new services to fulfill a project's particular needs.
• Prepare functional specifications that can be understood by customers and internal development teams. Work with the professional services team members to estimate the work for a given project. At times work directly with the internal client to coordinate new projects, many of which will involve multiple phases. Transition finished projects to the support group.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Math, or other engineering discipline.
• 5+ years as an Enterprise Architect / Application Architect, responsible for making key decisions on software architecture.
• 3+ years hands on Application solution design experience in AWS using AWS native services.
• 2+ years Data Analytics solutioning experience in AWS cloud using AWS native services (EMR, Redshift, Athena etc.), Apache Spark framework and using Python, or R.
• 2+ years’ experience on selecting, architecture reviewing, integration architecture with SaaS / COTS solutions.
• 2+ years’ experience with application security architecture for applications and SaaS solutions.
• 5+ years providing solutions based on Enterprise Integration patterns, Event Driven Architecture, API, Web services, SOA and Micro Services.
• AWS Solution Architect Associate or Professional Certification and with hands on experience.
• 10+ years of hands-on Java or Python prior design and development experience.
• Good understanding of Enterprise data containers including TDS, ODS, Data Warehouse, DataMart and Enterprise Data Lake.
• 10+ years’ experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server or Netezza.
• 5+ experience with application servers and containers such as JBoss, Tomcat, WebLogic.
• 5+ years’ experience with performance optimizations such as improving scalability, availability, demand, continuity, etc.
• 2+ years’ experience in architecting application resiliency at component level and for Disaster recovery.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and architecture documentation skills.
• Professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Mortgage industry knowledge experience.
• Information security architecture experience.
• Good understanding of Advanced Analytics, Data Science and Machine Learning (ML).
• TOGAF Certification or a good understanding of TOGAF or other Enterprise Architecture (EA) frameworks.
