Entry-Level Business Analyst

In this role, you will support a Modernized Data Science Platform for a Federal customer, playing a crucial part in connecting business requirements with technical solutions. You will focus on analyzing requirements, improving business processes, and fostering data-driven decision-making to facilitate the program's IT transformation and modernization efforts. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and data analysis.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technical development team, ensuring everyone is aligned on project objectives and requirements.
• Analyze and model business processes to uncover areas for improvement and optimization.
• Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including business requirements documents, use cases, user stories, and process flow diagrams.
• Utilize data analysis to provide insights and support data-driven decision-making within the project team.
• Assist the Project Manager in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Contribute to identifying, documenting, and analyzing project risks and issues.
• Help plan and execute user acceptance testing to ensure solutions effectively meet business needs.

Required Skills/Experience

• Willingness to work onsite two days per week in Crystal City, VA.
• BA/BS degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Business Analyst role.
• Demonstrated experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
• Strong analytical capability to convert business needs into technical requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with and managing document repositories.
• Familiarity with creating and utilizing requirements documentation.

Desired Skills/Experience

• Experience with the Department of Defense (DOD).
• Background in Data Science, Data Analytics, or Business Intelligence projects.
