Join our expanding Talent Acquisition team! We are searching for a motivated and enthusiastic Entry-Level Recruiter who excels in a collaborative and dynamic environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dedicated team that values professional growth and personal development.
This position requires onsite support 2 days a week in Herndon, VA
As a member of our fun and hardworking Talent Acquisition team, you will contribute to 3 Business Units. Your responsibilities will encompass Serco's Corporate function, as well as Army, Navy, Air Force, and Transitioning Service-members contracts. This full-time position allows for telework but may require you to attend local hiring events in person. Candidates must reside in the DC, Maryland, or Virginia area. You will report to a Talent Acquisition Manager.
In this role, you will:
- Provide Candidate Support:
- Utilize assessment tools to evaluate candidates' fit for various roles.
- Communicate with candidates about their application status and address any concerns.
- Conduct initial phone or video interviews to assess qualifications.
- Assist Hiring Managers:
- Support 10-15 Hiring Managers at a time.
- Work collaboratively with TA Manager, Lead Recruiters, and Senior Recruiters for guidance.
- Participate in Hiring Manager status meetings with assistance from Senior recruiters.
- Receive Learning and Development:
- Engage in training sessions to understand recruiting processes and best practices.
- Monitor and Maintain Metrics:
- Track progress related to candidate movement and time to fill requisitions.
- Manage Offers:
- Process and update offer letters in the ATS.
- Oversee Requisitions:
- Manage 30-40 openings concurrently with support from Lead or Senior Recruiters.
- Create requisitions with minimal assistance from the TA Manager.
- Assist in drafting job descriptions, posting ads, and managing recruitment marketing.
- TA Systems Management:
- Utilize iCIMS or a similar ATS to maintain accurate candidate records.
- Conduct outreach and create Nurture Campaigns with support.
- Engage in Strategic Recruiting:
- Develop strategies for challenging skill sets with guidance.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience, or a High School Diploma with 4 years of related experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, ATS/Recruiting systems, and HRIS databases.
- A minimum of 2 years in full lifecycle recruiting, including candidate attraction, sourcing, and compliance.
- Knowledge of OFCCP compliance and federal/state/local government contracting experience.
- Creative ability in developing sourcing strategies across various platforms.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and customer service skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time and adapt to changes quickly.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- Active recruitment-related certifications.
