SMART ENERGY PERSONAL GmbH, a VERBUND subsidiary, supports energy companies in filling administrative and key positions in Austria. In this context, SMART ENERGY PERSONAL GmbH is seeking a Cyber Security Developer for VERBUND AG in Vienna (full-time or part-time).

Responsibilities

VERBUND operates various systems within the Information Security department for monitoring and analyzing its security situation (e.g., Network Traffic Analysis, SIEM, Vulnerability Scanners, interfaces to the ticketing system). To use these systems efficiently, automated evaluations and processing within these systems, as well as interfaces between systems, are required.

• You will develop extensions and customizations within these systems.
• You will configure and develop automated interfaces to and from these systems.
• You will be involved in the patch and version management of these systems, as well as account management.
• You will also participate in the daily operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC).
• Based on these experiences, you will identify opportunities for further automation of routine processes and develop proposals for implementation.

Qualifications

• Completed education (HTL or FH) with an IT focus is advantageous (several years of professional experience can replace a formal degree).
• We welcome applications from ambitious students or graduates.
• Experience in developing with and for interfaces (REST) and knowledge of one or more common programming languages, as well as Windows and Linux.
• Knowledge of relevant security tools is advantageous.
• Very good English skills.
