Contribute YOUR expertise to bus development – we offer YOU varied and challenging tasks in a lively and active TEAM in international electrical/electronic development.

Due to the increasing networking in vehicles and between vehicles and the external IT world, the risks of attacks on vehicle cyber security are increasing. At Daimler Buses, we keep a close eye on vehicle cyber security throughout its lifecycle. For processes, methods, and technologies, we consistently implement the requirements of current norms and standards such as UN ECE R155 and ISO/SAE21434.

For the design of future vehicle functions and the hardware/software architectures of the networked vehicle, we develop suitable security measures and continuously adapt them to new threat scenarios.

Our focus is also on identifying cyber security risks and determining and implementing technical cyber security measures to reduce these risks at the ECU and system level. We realize the cyber security of our vehicles through well-combined measures with a view to the overall vehicle. Our field of activity therefore also includes considering the effects and influences of specific security measures on the overall vehicle and beyond.

• YOU conduct threat and risk analyses (TARA), derive security goals and reduce security risks by selecting appropriate security measures
• YOU develop and review security concepts and architectures for control units, applications and systems, keeping the overall vehicle cyber security in mind
• YOU support developers of control units, systems and applications specifically in the area of vehicle cyber security and coordinate the implementation and acceptance of security solutions with suppliers
• YOU describe, organize and accompany penetration tests at the function, control unit and vehicle level
• YOU accompany vehicle cyber security reviews regarding the appropriate implementation of security scopes and compliance with specifications
• YOU create vehicle cyber security specifications and documents according to ISO/SAE 21434
• YOU participate in the execution of security certifications, assessments and audits
• YOU work with international partners in development and testing and build networks
• YOU look beyond the horizon and develop your topics independently, adapt them to changing framework conditions and represent them in group-wide projects

Why You Fit

• YOU have a university degree in computer science or electrical engineering or a related degree
• YOU have several years of professional experience in the field of electrical/electronic engineering for automotive, preferably in the development and testing of control unit software
• YOU have experience in the field of vehicle cyber security, as well as knowledge of cyber security standards (e.g. ISO27000, ISO/SAE21434, etc.) and process-compliant development of automotive software
• YOU have very good analytical and structuring skills, think strategically and have a high degree of certainty in methodical procedures
• YOU have strong communication and teamwork skills and at the same time possess persuasiveness and assertiveness towards internal and external partners
• YOU have experience in agile working methods, such as SCRUM or SAFe
• YOU have a high degree of initiative, commitment and responsibility
• YOUR German and English skills, both written and spoken, are at a negotiation level
