Responsibilities

• The position is responsible for supporting production with the necessary equipment availability and performance to achieve FAB goals: wafer output at the right time, at the right cost, and in the required quality, thereby satisfying our customers and all relevant stakeholders.
• Overall responsibility for the Equipment Engineering team: inspiring and motivating the team, conveying ams OSRAM leadership principles and values, and coaching and supporting team members in their individual development.
• Derivation of TMDs (Top Must Do's) for the respective area of responsibility.
• Leading data-based discussions to clear decisions.
• Requesting and monitoring relevant KPIs, as well as coaching group leaders in interpreting their KPI data and deriving necessary measures.
• Supporting task force teams through resource provision, management, and ensuring smooth information flow.
• First escalation level towards suppliers and internal stakeholders, as well as initial communication review towards customers.
• Contribution to quality and customer audits, as well as derivation and implementation of measures.
• Coordination and prioritization of CIP measures and projects (e.g., cost reduction, capacity increase, equipment robustness).
• Ensuring a safe working environment.
• Application and assurance of manufacturing principles (Lean) as well as problem-solving techniques (Six Sigma).
• Improving the Cost of Ownership of the equipment through optimization of uptime, MTTR, etc.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed studies (Bachelor/Master) in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading multiple maintenance or engineering teams, with responsibility for operational coverage and high performance.
• Knowledge of systems for manufacturing and process monitoring, equipment stability, and cost control.
• Good understanding of manufacturing and Lean principles, as well as practical application of structured problem-solving methods like Six Sigma.
• Clear and structured communication skills combined with strong prioritization and coordination competence.
• Strong orientation towards continuous improvement and high flexibility.
• Proven ability to make quick decisions in time-critical situations.
• Very good English skills are mandatory; good German skills are an advantage.
