ERP Business Analyst - Contract

Overview:

We are supporting a major transformation programme involving the transition from a legacy system to a new ERP platform (Oracle ERP Cloud). This is not a standard ERP migration. The programme represents a significant operational and process disruption, requiring individuals who have experience navigating complex, real-world transformations — where processes are challenged, simplified, and reshaped. We are looking for hands-on, pragmatic consultants who can work directly with site teams to bridge the gap between current operations and future-state processes.

Role Purpose:

The focus of this role is to prepare operational sites and teams for the ERP transition, ensuring they focus on what truly matters and avoid unnecessary complexity. You will act as a translator between programme objectives and on-the-ground execution, helping teams:

• Understand why changes are happening
• Focus on the most critical data and processes
• Adopt simpler, more efficient ways of working

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with site teams to prepare them for ERP adoption
• Guide teams through data readiness and data cleaning activities, ensuring effort is prioritised effectively
• Challenge inefficient approaches (e.g. “clean everything”) and redirect focus toward high-value data and activities
• Help teams understand which customers, data, and processes matter most (e.g. active vs inactive customers)
• Provide hands-on support on-site, not just theoretical guidance
• Translate future-state processes into practical, actionable steps
• Help teams move from a “local / legacy mindset” to a more standardised, scalable way of working
• Ensure alignment between programme goals and site-level execution
• Support users in understanding the benefits of the new processes, not just the system
• Identify risks where planned approaches may fail in practice and proactively course-correct

What This Role Is NOT:

• Not a technical Oracle ERP role
• Not a pure data migration specialist position
• Not purely change management or training-focused
• Not process design (processes are already defined)

This is a hands-on transformation role focused on execution and adoption at site level.

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for individuals who bring a strong transformation mindset, rather than deep system expertise.

Essential Experience:

• Proven experience in ERP implementations or transformations (any system: Oracle, SAP, Sage, etc.)
• Experience in disruptive change environments, not just “lift-and-shift” system migrations
• Strong understanding of business processes and operational realities
• Exposure to data migration / data readiness phases (without needing to be a technical expert)
• Experience working directly with operational or site-based teams
