Our client is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Estimating Manager to join their regional team and play a key role in securing and delivering complex engineering projects. This position is ideal for a Civil Engineer with strong analytical capabilities and a talent for translating technical requirements into winning proposals. Working closely with the Tendering Manager, you will lead the preparation of competitive bids, engage directly with clients, and contribute to strategic growth initiatives—while helping shape innovative, cost-effective solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of technical tenders, bids, and supporting documentation in response to client RFPs
- Analyze inquiry packages, interpret complex technical specifications, and align proposals with client needs
- Identify strategic value propositions and alternative methods to optimize cost, schedule, and overall project outcomes
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through direct communication, presentations, and negotiation of technical and commercial matters
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, and conduct site visits to inform accurate estimating and solution development
- Support business growth by identifying new market opportunities, maintaining client databases, and participating in industry events and networking activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- 2–5 years of experience in ground engineering, special foundations, or a similar field
- Proven experience in proposal preparation, tendering, and project engineering applications
- Strong technical knowledge of ground engineering methods and foundation systems, with site experience
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Strong organizational, time management, and teamwork skills, with the ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines
Location
Oakville, ON
Work Policy
On-site 5 days a week with some travel to Alberta and BC offices
Compensation
Pay: $130,000 - $185,000 annually
