Estimator & Purchasing Specialist

Our client is currently seeking a Estimator & Purchasing Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standard pricing for residential construction projects and provide pricing and clarifications for clients’ modification requests.
• Develop and value-engineer standard option packages
• Procure quotes from vendors and subcontractors to price selections upgrades.
• Interpret each client’s selections documentation to translate into Work Orders for subcontractors.
• Generate reports, schedules, and lists associated with each aspect of the project.
• Develop accurate take-offs with estimating software and issue purchase orders to vendors and subcontractors based on the take-offs.
• Maintain strong communication with Site Supervisors and Construction Manager throughout the life cycle of each project.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of residential estimating experience required.
• Must be able to interpret and audit blueprints.
• Proficiency in Estimating software and Microsoft Excel is needed; Sage preferred.
• Strong communication and organization skills required.
