Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled ETL Consultant to join our client team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust ETL processes to support data integration and analytics initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of data warehousing, big data technologies, and cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS. The ETL Consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver scalable data solutions that enable insightful analysis and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop advanced SQL queries and expert-level stored procedures.
  • Build and maintain pipelines using Azure (ADF, Synapse, ADLS) and Databricks.
  • Perform data validation across database tables and flat files.
  • Use Python scripting (as needed) for automation and data processing.
  • Support risk, regulatory, and compliance data needs.
  • Implement data quality checks and resolve data issues.
  • Develop database schemas, optimize queries using SQL and Python scripts, and ensure data integrity across systems.
  • Conduct analysis of data flows for performance tuning, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements in ETL processes.
  • Participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of projects.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an ETL Consultant or Data Engineer with a strong background in designing scalable data pipelines.
  • Expert in SQL and stored procedure development.
  • Experience with Azure data platform and Databricks.
  • Strong background in data validation and reconciliation (tables & files).
  • Python scripting experience (as needed).
  • Experience in banking/financial services preferred.
