Global Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) software house with over 15 years experience supporting global energy trading businesses seeks an experienced Product Manager to join their Paris office.
Working with a cutting edge, Cloud/Saas solution, the technology supports a wide range of clients - from agile start-ups to major global energy enterprises, helping them navigate a fast-evolving industry shaped by climate goals, renewable energy integration, and market volatility.
Role
The successful ETRM Product Manager will contribute to shaping and executing the product vision within a broader suite of the company’s solutions serving European energy markets. Reporting to the Head of European Products, this role manages a team of Product Owners and ensures alignment between market needs, regulatory evolution and the development of high‑value product initiatives. By combining market expertise, structured product leadership and cross‑team coordination, the Product Manager ensures that the company’s Power & Gas ETRM software remains scalable and fully integrated within the wider product ecosystem.
Key skills & experience sought:
- Proven experience in product management or business analysis working for another ETRM, services consultancy or client trading house
- Strong understanding of European short‑term power and gas markets, including intraday trading, balancing mechanisms and market communication protocols.
- Experience managing or mentoring Product Owners or similar functional roles.
- Ability to translate complex operational workflows into clear functional requirements.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and commercial audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a structured and prioritised manner.
- Fluency in English and French
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
- Experience with SaaS or PaaS architectures and cloud‑based solutions.
- Familiarity with energy market APIs, communication protocols or data platforms.
- Understanding of algorithmic trading concepts or automated bidding workflows.
- Knowledge of Agile product management practices and tools.
- Ability to interpret regulatory frameworks and assess their product impact.
- Additional European languages.
