About the role

Role Overview

AWS Marketing, Event Content and Platform Ops is seeking an individual to execute event platform enablement across specific regions. This role will lead the operational aspects of integrating technology into global events, focusing on execution as well as training and equipping internal teams to effectively use event platforms and tools to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Planning: Contribute to the development of and execute on a global enablement strategy for event technologies, aligning with overall business objectives and the sales or marketing strategy.
  • Content & Training: Create, maintain, and deliver comprehensive training materials, including online, self‑paced content, presentations, and other enablement resources for internal teams.
  • Technology Management: Manage the overall delivery and enablement of the event technology track to align with global standards and regional variations.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with technology vendors to ensure successful deployment and integration of event technology products.
  • Data & Analytics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of enablement programs and event technology, utilizing data to optimize processes and future events.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Event Technology Team, and event production to ensure consistent messaging and a cohesive digital attendee experience.
  • Project Management: Lead projects for the development and deployment of event technology and enablement programs, managing timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Innovation: Research and present innovative ideas and emerging technologies, such as AI tools, to enhance the attendee experience and improve event operations.

The Platform Operations team supports the build and configuration of event management platforms for registration, onsite badging and check‑in, session scanning, lead retrieval, etc., for a global portfolio of events. We are a global team supporting events at scale.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional non‑internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience in event technology: strong understanding of event apps, registration platforms, and the broader event tech stack
  • Strategic and execution focus: experience developing long‑term strategies and executing programs effectively
  • Project and program management: experience leading and managing complex, cross‑functional projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using customer research, hard data, and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs
  • Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, and reporting for demand generation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills: strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to interact and influence effectively across all levels of an organization
  • Adaptability: ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment, embrace change, and adapt to new technologies
  • Business acumen: understanding of how event technology supports broader business objectives like lead generation and revenue growth

Compensation

  • Atlanta, GA: $80,600 – $141,100 USD annually
  • Arlington, VA: $80,600 – $141,100 USD annually
  • Seattle, WA: $82,700 – $141,100 USD annually
