Position Overview

As an Account Executive, you will leverage your expertise in local meeting planning, which includes transportation logistics, event production, and teambuilding, to drive sales in your designated territory. Collaborating with a talented sales team, including an Account Manager and a Program Design Associate, you will create compelling proposals and execute exceptional programs.

Essential Skills

We are looking for a candidate with strong sales and closing skills, effective leadership, excellent organization, and time management abilities. Strong communication skills and proficiency in Excel and Word are required. An outgoing, positive attitude and one-on-one personal interaction skills are crucial for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales in your assigned area.
  • Oversee all accounts from proposal creation to final billing.
  • Manage the performance of your Account Manager and Program Design Associate.
  • Achieve and exceed sales goals.
  • Build and nurture solid client relationships.

Sales Responsibilities

  • Identify and create sales opportunities in your area.
  • Engage with clients to assess their needs.
  • Collaborate with vendors and your Program Design Associate to prepare proposals.
  • Discuss proposals with clients and implement necessary revisions.
  • Conduct site visits with clients to enhance the planning process.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts for approved services.
  • Participate in pre and post-conference client meetings.
  • Stay in touch with clients during program operations, either personally or through your Account Manager.
  • Ensure all customer inquiries are addressed within 24 hours.

Account Management Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and hotel partners.
  • Monitor and manage competitive factors affecting key accounts.
  • Oversee deposits and accounts receivables.
  • Build rapport to sustain long-term relationships.
  • Work with management to enhance visibility and influence.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities.
