About the role
Overview
We are seeking a candidate looking for business experience in a fast-paced construction company with divisions in multiple disciplines within the oil and gas facility and pipeline, earthworks, electrical, landscaping, renewable energy, and others. The candidate will work with the president of the company, providing executive assistance and conducting project financial auditing using onboard software.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough audits of project processes and documentation.
- Evaluate project performance against established criteria and benchmarks.
- Identify and assess risks associated with project execution.
- Ensure projects comply with internal policies and external regulations.
- Report findings and recommend corrective actions to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project teams to implement best practices and improvements.
- Prepare and present audit reports to senior management.
- Monitor project progression to ensure sustained compliance.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in computers and attention to detail are essential.
- Financial experience is an asset but not required.
- Experience in construction is an asset but not mandatory.
- Training will be provided for this position.
Work Environment & Additional Details
This position will have flexible hours and will be hybrid (a combination of in office and WFH). Students and new graduates are encouraged to apply. This position would be ideal for a college/university student with a major in accounting or construction. Upon interest, there is a possibility of going on site to see what occurs within the company.
