Position Overview
Reporting to the Principals, the Executive Search Consultant is responsible for supporting the firm’s pipeline of recruitment engagements, across a variety of management level search assignments, within the Commercial Real Estate Industry sector.
This position requires tremendous attention to detail, exceptional judgement, patience, and strong time management/organizational skills. This role is deeply integrated within the commercial real estate sector, requiring an ongoing commitment to continuously learn, communicate, and develop meaningful and trusted relationships within the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct strategic research to identify target company organizations & candidates within specific real estate functional positions (acquisition/investment, asset management, construction, development, property management/operations, etc.).
- Develop and refine research strategies throughout the course of the search assignment and collaborate with TMG Principals to adjust where necessary.
- Monitor local and regional commercial real estate organizations, their business/transactional activity, market movements, employee/leadership structures to keep TMG abreast of client and candidate lead generation.
- Collect and synthesize research data into actionable status reports helping direct productive client update calls/meetings.
Search Execution & Candidate Management
- Directly source target candidates using multiple recruitment methods, including internal/external resources (e.g. TMG proprietary database), networking, and direct outreach (via LinkedIn, etc.).
- Interview potential target candidates in person and/or via video conferencing to qualify technical/culture fit for specific client search assignments.
- Schedule candidate interviews with clients. Prepare candidates for client interviews and maintain ongoing, strategic candidate management/oversight throughout the search process.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in executive search, talent advisory, and/or recruitment. Must have some exposure to the commercial real estate industry.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks, with a sense of urgency, at any given time.
- Strong analytical and research skills with a genuine interest in learning new concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to develop meaningful, trusted, relationships with people at many different experience levels.
- Must be interested and thrive within a fast paced, entrepreneurial, flat, hands‑on, organization.
- Must be a self‑starter with high emotional intelligence and self‑confidence.
