About the role
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Carrier Recruiter to help source, vet, and onboard qualified trucking carriers for our growing logistics network. This role is ideal for a self-motivated recruiter with strong industry knowledge, existing carrier relationships, and the ability to operate independently.
The ideal candidate understands carrier compliance, insurance requirements, and onboarding documentation, and can quickly bring reliable carriers into our network.
Responsibilities
- Source and recruit qualified owner-operators, small fleets, and trucking companies
- Build and maintain a pipeline of reliable carriers
- Conduct initial carrier qualification and screening
- Collect and verify required onboarding documentation:
- Certificate of Insurance (COI)
- W-9
- MC Authority
- DOT Number
- Operating Authority
- Safety Rating (FMCSA)
- Verify insurance requirements and coverage limits
- Ensure carriers meet compliance standards and company requirements
- Maintain communication throughout onboarding process
- Coordinate with operations teams
- Track recruiting progress and onboarding status
Requirements
- Previous carrier recruiting
- Carrier onboarding process
- Insurance requirements (COI)
- FMCSA compliance
- Authority verification
- Existing network of carriers preferred
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and results-driven
- Field recruiting
- Open to travel – 50% – 75% travel
Preferred Experience
- Experience recruiting: Cargo Van carrier, Flatbed carriers, Box truck
- Knowledge of load boards
- ATS experience
- Consistent onboarding of qualified carriers
- Reliable and compliant carrier pool
- Strong communication and follow-through
- Long-term carrier relationships
Pay
$75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
