Make a difference at WSP as an Experienced Mechanical Engineer specializing in energy projects. You will be integral to executing engineering designs for a variety of power generation technologies.

In this senior role on WSP's Energy team, your focus will be on mechanical engineering within the energy sector. Engage with clients and provide top-level design solutions for renewable and fossil fuel power generation. Your role will involve leading project designs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring junior engineers all while working in locations across Canada, preferably BC and AB.

Key Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for renewable and fossil fuel facilities
• Conduct high-complexity engineering analysis and calculations
• Develop P&IDs for a wide range of systems
• Prepare specifications for major mechanical equipment
• Supervise design deliverables against codes and standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Over 15 years of design experience
• Active P.Eng license in Canada
• Previous experience in power plant design
• Knowledge of Smart Plant 3D or CADworx
