We are on the lookout for a talented Staff Software Engineer who possesses solid backend engineering skills and experience in applied AI systems to join our dynamic team.

What You'll Do:

• AI Platform Engineering: Architect and develop the backend systems that underpin AI-driven products, crafting scalable services to support language models in real-world healthcare settings.
• Data Infrastructure: Create robust pipelines that ingest, clean, and structure intricate healthcare and operational data, enabling models to yield precise and contextually relevant results.
• Model Reliability: Develop tools for performance monitoring, quality measurement, cost management, and ensuring consistent behavior of AI systems in production.
• Scalability & Efficiency: Enhance AI workloads by optimizing throughput, reducing latency, and accommodating high-volume traffic across cloud infrastructure.
• Security & Governance: Implement secure systems with comprehensive audit and data control practices suitable for sensitive healthcare information.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner closely with product, AI, and clinical teams to translate real-world healthcare challenges into effective technical solutions.
• Technical Leadership: Oversee the complete delivery process of LLM backend projects, establish engineering best practices, and mentor peers in LLM system design.

About You:

• 5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack software engineering, including 3+ years working on ML/LLM-driven applications.
• Proficient coding skills in Python, with experience in a statically typed language such as Go, Java, or TypeScript.
• Thorough experience with LLM integration frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI APIs, Anthropic).
• Expertise in distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, and building scalable APIs.
• Proficient in cloud technologies (AWS/GCP/Azure), Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
• Familiar with MLOps/LLMOps best practices including CI/CD for models, evaluation harnesses, monitoring, and reproducibility.
• Exceptional system design capabilities and a strong understanding of aligning technical architecture with product objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with RAG pipelines, vector databases, and structured-output orchestration.
• Proven background in enterprise SaaS or mission-critical platforms where uptime, latency, and scalability are crucial.
• Knowledge of responsible AI, safety, and privacy-preserving machine learning techniques.
