We are seeking an Experienced Technical Writer responsible for crafting and maintaining a variety of technical documents that support software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation. Your expertise will contribute to producing high-quality installation, configuration, and how-to documentation, along with code documentation, implementation guides, and end-user manuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, user guides, manuals, and technical publications.
- Write and edit clear technical content for diverse document types and maintain an organized internal documentation library.
- Utilize various tools like MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio to enhance documentation quality.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness in documentation and training materials.
- Oversee all phases of the documentation process, ensuring clarity and usability for all stakeholders.
- Convert complex technical information into understandable documents for a diverse audience.
- Embrace general direction to write technical copy for programs/projects of similar complexity.
- Research intricate technical subjects and consolidate information from multiple sources for documented clarity.
- Implement technical documentation standards such as NSA DS-89 and ensure compliance with 508 standards.
- Produce user manuals, training manuals, and defense acquisition documents for DoD electronic systems.
Qualifications
- A minimum of six (6) years of technical writing experience in similar environments.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph is a must.
This position is contingent on funding and mirrors roles frequently available at CACI. Applicants may be considered for other opportunities within the company.

The anticipated salary range for this position is: $70,800 - $148,600.
