An established industrial solutions company is seeking an experienced External Technical Sales Representative to drive business development within the mining sector across French-speaking African countries. The role requires a proactive sales professional with strong technical knowledge and the ability to build strategic customer relationships, identify opportunities, and deliver tailored solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities
Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in technical sales within an industrial or engineering environment
- Exposure to mining operations across Africa
- Strong knowledge of valves and/or actuators
- Technical or engineering background advantageous
- Strong business development and customer engagement skills
- Ability to identify customer needs and present tailored technical solutions
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage the full sales cycle proactively
- Strong business and commercial understanding
- French-speaking ability advantageous
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required
