As a leader in systems engineering, we’re looking for you to solve complex software system challenges and shape the integration and development of the nation’s most advanced fighter aircraft, the F‑35. Using your software expertise, you’ll analyze the environment to ensure that your team’s solutions consider the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You’ll support the development of F‑35 software and the integration of subsystems and new capabilities, including design, development, test, and implementation. You’ll share your skills as your team utilizes new tools and techniques while helping to identify and implement system improvements.

Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in systems or avionics engineering, or with design and implementation of software using agile software development principles
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering and participating in or leading the NAVAIR SETR process
- Experience with SysML models and source code for new applications or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications
- Experience developing or acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
- Experience with developing Interface Control Documentation to enhance internal and external communication
- Experience mentoring or supervising employees within a collaborative, cross‑functional software development team environment
- Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes and system engineering practices
- Ability to independently think, plan and work at both a tactical and strategic level, and integrate MBSE into the Agile software development cycle (Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products)
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or technology field
Nice to Have
- Experience with Jira, Java, Python, C#, C/C++, .NET, JavaScript, React, NodeJS, PHP, or Drupal
- Experience with software estimation methodologies including SEER SEM or similar
- Experience with model‑driven development and UML
- Experience in a systems engineering or related technical position
- Experience with a DoD ACAT II or larger acquisition program office and system engineering practices
- Knowledge of administration of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $99,000 – $225,000 (annualized USD)

Work Model
- Remote – May still require occasional in‑person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
- Hybrid – Expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently, with possible visits to a customer facility.
- Onsite – Primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, collaborating directly with colleagues and customers as required.
