Sr. SQL DATA MODELER

• Duration: 12+ Months
• Location: McLean, VA
• Onsite Position (In person Interview)

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Data Modeler to support data architecture, modelling, and integration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with structured and semi-structured data, along with modern data platforms like Snowflake.

Key Responsibilities

🔹

• Design and develop logical and physical data models
• Work with structured and semi-structured data (JSON, etc.)
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for data processing and reporting
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines and data integration workflows
• Perform data transformation and data mapping activities
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand data requirements
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems
• Support data migration and data warehouse initiatives (Snowflake)
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues

Required Skills & Experience

🔹

• Strong experience in Data Modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)
• Hands‑on experience with SQL (advanced level)
• Experience working with Snowflake Data Warehouse
• Strong knowledge of JSON and semi‑structured data formats
• Experience in data integration and ETL tools/processes
• Understanding of data pipelines and data transformation techniques
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Preferred Skills

🔹

• Experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, or similar
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization
