Position Summary
Jeezny Sourcing LLC is seeking a Facilities Project Manager to support capital construction and engineering projects for Prince George’s County. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with strong leadership experience and a proven ability to manage large-scale, multifaceted public sector projects.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing project planning, budgeting, and execution, while providing real-time decision-making support and ensuring alignment with client objectives.
This role supports high-visibility public sector capital improvement projects that directly impact community infrastructure, facility operations, and long-term asset performance across Prince George’s County.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage capital construction and facilities projects for public sector clients
- Provide technical and managerial input on engineering and construction activities
- Develop and write scopes of work (SOWs), project workplans, and execution strategies
- Oversee project budgets, cost estimating, and financial tracking
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and client stakeholders
- Make real-time project decisions to keep work on schedule and within budget
- Lead and manage project teams to achieve delivery objectives
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, contract requirements, and quality control
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Support overall capital improvement and facilities planning initiatives
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction and/or engineering project management
- Experience managing large-scale public sector or government construction projects strongly preferred
- Proven experience in capital improvement projects, infrastructure, or facilities management
Skills & Competencies
- Proven track record managing large-scale, multi-phase capital construction and infrastructure projects from planning through closeout
- Advanced expertise in project controls, including budgeting, cost estimating, forecasting, and financial performance management
- Strong experience developing Scopes of Work (SOWs), technical specifications, and project execution plans
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, consultants, and contractors in complex stakeholder environments
- Experience with contract administration, change management, and contractor performance evaluation
- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget objectives
- Proficiency in project scheduling tools and methodologies (e.g., CPM, Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Experience with cost tracking systems and ERP platforms
- Strong knowledge of building systems, construction practices, and public sector capital program delivery
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills in fast-paced, high-visibility environments
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with CMMS platforms (e.g., Maximo)
- Self-directed professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and drive results
