Factory Engineer
Purpose of the Role: • To oversee factory maintenance, assets, and projects to ensure optimal plant efficiency, productivity, and quality. • To ensure full compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities: • Manage factory engineering projects, contractors, and on-site work. • Oversee maintenance and construction programs to maximise plant uptime. • Manage factory assets and contribute to budgeting processes. • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and applicable regulations. • Oversee utilities and infrastructure across the plant, village, and hostel facilities. • Support the achievement of optimal efficiency, productivity, and product quality. • Lead and manage the performance of teams and subordinates. • Ensure adherence to ISO standards and Quality Management Systems.
Minimum Requirements: • A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree (BEng/BSc Eng) with at least 2 years’ post-graduate experience in plant operation and maintenance (power generation capacity above 3000kW), and successful completion of the OSH Act examination through the Commission of Examiners; or • A certified engineer with a Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) – Factories. • Minimum of 5 years’ practical experience in an industrial plant, including boiler operations. • At least 3 years’ experience managing a skilled maintenance team. • Minimum 3 years’ experience working with CAD. • Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal). • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 Suite. • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, internet navigation, and search tools. • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
