About Double Standard

Double Standard is a NYC-based footwear brand focused on functional yet fashionable all-day footwear for modern women. The brand hit $1M in its first year in 2024, acquiring customers like Paris Hilton, Julia Fox, and Megan Thee Stallion through an agile, limited drop model using customer feedback, new technologies, and predictive data.

You'll work closely with the cofounder, a creative director and business leader passionate about innovating shoe designs, creative content, and tech-powered internal systems. Your key objective is to unlock the brand's full creative potential by managing back-end operations, logistics, and growth marketing implementation. The tech stack includes Shopify, Meta ads, Google Ads, Klaviyo, 3PL fulfillment, Clickup, and more.

What You'll Own

  • Build tools for clearer marketing attribution, faster returns processing, and project management.
  • Own Klaviyo end-to-end: flows, segmentation, data hygiene, and performance.
  • Assist the founder in overseeing and implementing paid ads campaigns, restructuring and reallocating budgets.
  • Track website performance and implement CRO strategies such as A/B testing landing pages, restructuring offers, and improving product discovery.
  • Oversee 3PL logistics and manage customer service processes.
  • Implement new programs to improve shipping and returns, and manage supply chain changes.
  • Monitor customer experience issues including product issues, lost packages, and quality issues, creating processes to mitigate them.
  • Work with or direct technical resources on Shopify customizations, app integrations, and automations.
  • Build and deploy AI-powered tools to automate operations, reporting, and internal workflows.
  • Support the global team to enhance efficiency and remote workflows.

Who You Are

  • Experienced in running a DTC brand with a strong understanding of how all pieces connect.
  • Able to identify issues from dashboards and distinguish between creative and targeting problems.
  • Skilled in fixing Klaviyo flows and auditing Meta campaigns.
  • Fluent in paid ads channels and campaign nuances.
  • Technically proficient with Shopify, APIs, and excited about AI applications.
  • Comfortable working in a lean, agile, and scrappy environment with a hands-on approach.
  • 5+ years managing consumer e-commerce and Shopify operations.
  • 5+ years overseeing P&Ls or digital marketing budgets, with at least 2 years managing Meta/Google campaigns.
  • Experienced in shipping digital products, managing developers, hiring, and understanding code.
  • Avid experimenter with AI tools like Claude and Zapier.
  • Experienced building project management tools on Clickup integrated with Slack and Google Workspace.

Compensation

  • 20-30 hours/week monthly retainer to start plus equity with a one-year vesting cliff.
