Field Sales Engineer

A respected distributor of electronic components and embedded solutions is looking for a driven Field Sales Engineer to grow its footprint across Gauteng.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong external sales background who understands the electronics industry and enjoys building long-term relationships within OEM and manufacturing environments.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• 3–5 years’ experience in external sales within the electronics industry
• Good understanding of electronic components, semiconductors, and passive components
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
• Strong customer-facing and relationship-building ability
• Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory

Job Experience & Skills Required

• Develop and grow new business within the electronics manufacturing and OEM sector
• Conduct client visits, presentations, and solution-based sales discussions
• Prepare quotations and manage customer follow-ups
• Work closely with suppliers and internal technical teams
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure service excellence
• Stay informed on market trends and emerging technologies A technical background or exposure to electronics will be advantageous.
