Field Service Engineer

Introduction

National Packaging Systems is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of packaging machinery at customer sites. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver excellent customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and configure packaging machinery at customer sites.

• Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing of equipment.

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to customers.

• Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation after each service visit.

• Train customer operators on correct machine operation and basic maintenance.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards while working on-site.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience servicing industrial machinery or packaging equipment.

• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to read technical drawings and electrical diagrams.

• Knowledge of PLC systems and automation will be advantageous.

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites.
