The Materials and Structural Analysis (MSD) Electron Microscopy (EM) business enables customers to find meaningful answers to questions that accelerate breakthrough discoveries and ultimately change the world. The MSD Electron Microscopy (EM) business designs, manufactures, and supports the broadest range of high-performance microscopy workflow solutions that provide images and answers in the micro-, nano-, and picometer scales.
Responsibilities
- Manage and complete more complex service tasks independently.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Ensure accurate and detailed service reports are generated.
- Provide expertise and recommendations on technical issues.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and tailor solutions.
- Offer technical training support to Field Service Engineer I.
- Participate in work schedules creation with colleagues and/or management.
- Provide sales leads and feedback to support teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechatronics, electronics/engineering, or equivalent.
- 2-5 years of experience in a related field.
- University degree with some experience of hands-on technical experience installing, troubleshooting and repairing complex analytical instruments, ideally of Electron-Microscopes or similar technology.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Interest in technology and IT trends.
- Knowledge of electron microscopes is an advantage.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
