About the role

Field Service Engineer – East Region

Location: Nancy, France | Metz, France | Strasbourg, France

Field based across covering East Region (55, 52, 54, 57, 67, 88, 68, 25, 70). Reporting to Field Service Supervisor, France.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer calls during office hours, Monday to Friday, ensuring customers are contacted within 24 hours of their initial call.
  • Take responsibility for the effective management of your designated service area including promoting new contracts and liaising with customers for renewals.
  • Demonstrate efficiency in installations within assigned service territory and coordinate the installation of large orders if required.
  • Complete all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits on time and to the levels outlined in the service manual.
  • Assist sales and marketing team with tender opportunities as technical support and promote service contracts.
  • Maintain tools and test equipment properly and liaise with the Service Supervisor/Manager to ensure they are calibrated.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory, company vehicle and other company equipment and supplies.
  • Occasionally train clinical staff on designated equipment.
  • Track and maintain both parts and loaner inventories allocated to you, updating the CRM system accordingly.
  • Perform other tasks or responsibilities designated by the Field Service Supervisor, France.

Qualifications

  • Medical Devices Capital Equipment Field service experience is vital.
  • Based in the East area.
  • Experience of providing training on medical devices capital equipment.
  • Fluent French, with English as a business language.
  • Highly customer focused with a desire to achieve more; significant development potential for the right candidate.
  • Technically proficient in troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of all medical products, specifically monitoring and infusion products.
  • Evidence of emotional intelligence is critical.
  • Experience working autonomously to achieve KPI’s.
  • Ability to address customer requests through strong listening skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong relationships.
  • Proven negotiation skills with a problem‑solving attitude.
  • Flexible to travel as required.
