About the role
Position Overview
The Field Supervisor is responsible for leading field operations, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of projects while maintaining high quality and safety standards. This role requires strong mechanical expertise—particularly in spiral conveyor systems—along with the ability to lead, train, and support field technicians in a dynamic, travel-intensive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Job Management
- Lead field operations to ensure all projects are completed on schedule and meet company quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Shop Supervisor and Director of Operations to ensure availability of equipment, materials, and personnel at job sites.
Technical Expertise
- Apply advanced mechanical knowledge, particularly in spiral conveyor systems, to support field operations.
- Troubleshoot issues, provide hands-on technical support, and ensure accuracy and efficiency in all project work.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of field technicians.
- Provide clear direction and oversight to ensure productivity, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
Training & Development
- Deliver on-site training and coaching to technicians, supporting continuous skill development and performance improvement.
Communication & Customer Interaction
- Maintain consistent communication with the Director of Operations regarding job progress, team performance, and any changes or challenges.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during project execution.
- Ensure clear communication and a high level of customer satisfaction throughout each project.
- Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
Safety Management
- Enforce all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations across all job sites.
Ideal Candidates Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of field mechanical experience (experience with spiral conveyor systems preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proven leadership experience managing field teams, workflows, and safety compliance.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, technicians, and management.
- Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time across the United States.
- Bilingual skills are an added advantage.
