Finance Analyst II (Contract)

Responsibilities

• Incorporate Bills of Material (BOM) into financial templates for proposal development.
• Lead proposal cost reviews and financial validation processes.
• Perform gross margin and return on sales analysis.
• Develop cash flow models to meet or exceed business targets.
• Prepare financial charts and supporting documentation.
• Conduct what-if analysis during pricing and proposal discussions.
• Address inquiries related to proposal financials and translate solutions into customer-facing pricing documents.
• Educate and support Sales teams in presenting financial data for internal reviews and customer meetings.
• Provide financial support during post-submittal activities including customer evaluations, interviews, scope changes, and negotiations.
• Manage revision control and deliver final “as sold” financial documentation for execution.
• Take ownership of assigned proposals and communicate status, risks, and financial updates to management.
• Ensure compliance with Delegation of Authority (DOA) approval processes.
• Support audit activities, performance metrics, and continuous process improvements.
• Maintain flexibility to support proposal timelines, including occasional non-standard working hours.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred).

Experience

• Experience in financial analysis, proposal support, or pricing roles preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Experience with cost analysis, margin evaluation, and cash flow modeling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Ability to perform scenario (what-if) analysis and interpret financial data.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
