Finance Associate - South Africa Nationally (Expression of Interest)

Role Summary

Supports core finance activities including month-end close, reporting, and analysis. Works with colleagues and stakeholders across US time zones.

Location / Time zones: US-based, supporting East & West Coast business hours

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close (journal entries, reconciliations, accruals).
• Prepare and update standard financial reports and schedules for East and West Coast stakeholders.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities (data collection, template updates, preliminary variance analysis).
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies promptly.
• Help respond to auditor and regulatory requests for information.
• Maintain accurate financial data in ERP and related systems.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support for cross‑time‑zone teams.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience (internships included).
• Strong Excel skills; familiarity with ERP/financial reporting systems is an advantage.
• Ability to work with teams and stakeholders across multiple US time zones.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Working hours:

This role supports a US‑based client and therefore requires working US hours.

The applicable shifts are:

• 15:00 – 23:00 (SAST)
• 18:00 – 02:00 (SAST)
