Finance Data & Business Analyst

We are a UK-based pharmaceutical consultancy and manufacturing group supporting global healthcare clients. Our operations include pharmaceutical product development, manufacturing, and technical consultancy services.

To support our growing business, we are expanding our finance support team in India to work closely with the UK finance and management teams.

The role will focus on preparing business data, financial analysis, and management information to support decision-making across consultancy projects and pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Finance Data & Business Analyst to join our remote India team and support the UK finance department.

The primary responsibility of this role is to extract, organise and analyse financial and operational data to help management understand business performance, project profitability, product pricing and sales trends.

The successful candidate will work closely with the UK Finance Manager, Management Accountant and Accounts Assistant, helping prepare regular business information packs and analytical reports.

This role is ideal for someone with strong Excel skills, analytical thinking and experience working with accounting or ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

Financial & Management Reporting Support

• Prepare monthly management information packs for the UK finance team
• Analyse project profitability for consultancy engagements
• Prepare cost analysis for manufacturing projects
• Support monthly financial reporting and performance analysis

Sales & Business Performance Analysis

• Prepare sales analysis reports by customer, product and project
• Analyse product pricing and margins across manufacturing products
• Support the team with pricing models when bidding for new manufacturing projects
• Track project revenues, costs and margins

Costing & Pricing Support (Manufacturing)

• Assist in preparing unit cost analysis for pharmaceutical products
• Support the preparation of product pricing models for new client proposals
• Analyse bill of materials (BOM), labour and overhead components for costing
• Prepare margin analysis and sensitivity scenarios

Data Extraction & System Reporting

• Extract financial data from:
  • SAP Business One (ERP)
  • QuickBooks Online
  • Excel data sources
• Clean and organise data for analysis
• Build automated reports and dashboards in Excel

Financial Data Preparation

• Prepare structured datasets for management review
• Convert raw system data into meaningful reports and charts
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency

Operational Finance Support

• Support UK finance team with ad-hoc analysis requests
• Assist in preparing board or management presentation materials
• Maintain financial data templates and reporting structures

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

• Strong advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Power Query preferred)
• Ability to analyse financial data and present insights clearly
• Experience working with accounting or ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Good written and spoken English

Systems Knowledge (Preferred)

• SAP Business One (ERP)
• QuickBooks Online
• Microsoft Excel (Advanced)

Experience

• 3 to 6 years experience in:
  • Financial analysis
  • Management reporting
  • Accounting support
  • Business data analysis

Experience supporting UK businesses or UK accounting standards is highly desirable.
