About the role
Role Overview
As a Chartered Accountant for our global retail client, you will be stepping into the role of Finance Manager/Head of Corporate Affairs. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around managing all financial activities of the company, ensuring regulatory compliance, and offering strategic financial guidance to senior management. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead a team of accounts professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop financial plans, budgets, and forecasts. Conduct analysis to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. Provide financial recommendations to senior management.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports on a timely basis. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity, forecast cash requirements, and optimize cash management strategies. Minimize financial risks and maximize returns on investments.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Lead the budgeting process, set budget targets, and monitor performance. Implement cost control measures for operational efficiency.
- Financial Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks. Develop risk mitigation strategies to safeguard assets and financial stability.
- Tax Planning and Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws. Coordinate with external advisors to optimize tax planning strategies.
- Internal Controls and Audit: Establish internal controls, coordinate with auditors, and implement process improvements.
- Treasury Management: Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions. Monitor and optimize investment portfolios.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills
- An MBA in Finance, CPA, or CA preferred.
- 8-10 years of finance experience, with 3-5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations.
- Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software (Tally).
- Robust leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
