For our partner located in the canton of Bern, GI Life Sciences is looking for a:
Financial Analyst
Temporary position
Start: ASAP
Duration: 2 months
Your mission:
As part of a temporary reinforcement, you will provide operational support to the Finance team to ensure data reliability, high‑quality reporting, and efficient financial analysis processes.
Your responsibilities:
- Analyze transactional and operational data, identify anomalies, and recommend necessary adjustments (accruals, reversals) to ensure accurate reporting.
- Develop, standardize, and improve recurring analyses and reports to deliver financial and business insights and support monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes (MBR, QBR, AOP, etc.).
- Build and update dashboards, PowerPoint presentations, and other business intelligence tools by extracting and consolidating data from various systems.
- Independently investigate data issues, ask the right questions, identify root causes, and collaborate with business and IT teams to improve data quality.
- Work with business partners to define key assumptions and perform ad hoc analyses to identify trends and opportunities.
- Analyze product and service profitability, identify P&L drivers (including manufacturing and SIOP), detect risks and opportunities, and propose actions.
- Translate business inputs into financial assumptions, build and maintain forecasting models (revenue, product launches, pricing, OPEX, CAPEX, etc.).
- Quickly adopt new tools and systems to enhance analytical accuracy and efficiency.
- Contribute to accounting operations, financial reporting, and the maintenance of strong internal controls.
Your profile:
- Master’s degree with no prior experience, or Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis within an international company.
- Excellent command of financial and analytical tools: SAP, Hyperion, Hyperion Planning, Power BI, Cognos, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and clearly present complex information.
- High attention to detail, strong rigor, and ability to deliver high‑quality work under tight deadlines.
- Fluent in English.
