Financial Analyst (m/f/d) – Temporary Assignment (2 Months)

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading pharmaceutical company in Lengnau, for a Financial Analyst to support the finance team on a temporary assignment (initially 2 months).

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze transactional and operational data, identify anomalies, and recommend accruals/reversals to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Develop, standardize, and enhance recurring analyses and reports to generate business insights and support forecasting and budgeting processes (e.g., MBR, QBR, AOP)
• Build, maintain, and optimize dashboards, presentations (PowerPoint), and business intelligence tools through data mining from multiple systems
• Independently investigate data discrepancies, identify root causes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and system support to improve data quality
• Partner with stakeholders to develop key assumptions and business drivers; conduct ad hoc analyses to generate actionable insights
• Perform profitability analyses for products and services, identify P&L drivers (incl. manufacturing & SIOP), and highlight risks and opportunities
• Translate business inputs into financial assumptions and maintain forecast models (revenue, pricing, new product launches, OPEX, CAPEX, etc.)
• Proactively adopt new tools and systems to enhance analytical capabilities and accuracy
• Support accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal control processes

Requirements

• Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s) with no prior experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of FP&A experience in a multinational, matrix organization
• Strong system skills: SAP, Hyperion (Planning), Power BI, Cognos, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate complex financial topics clearly and concisely (written and verbal)
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Solid understanding of business processes, financial controls, and ability to identify and mitigate control weaknesses
