Our client, a respected financial institution, is seeking a diligent and analytical Financial Analyst to join their team in Lokoja, Kogi, NG . Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial insights. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic re-forecasts. Conduct variance analysis and explain deviations from budget and forecast. Support investment analysis, due diligence, and business case development. Monitor key financial metrics and provide insights into financial performance. Collaborate with accounting and operational teams to ensure accuracy of financial data. Assist in the implementation and improvement of financial systems and processes. Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes affecting the financial sector. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a similar role. Strong financial modeling and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros) and financial software. Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial statements. Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience within the banking or financial services industry is a plus.
