We are seeking a Financial Analyst for Program Operations to join our finance team in Digital Modernization, supporting our Defense Enclave Services (DES) program in Reston, VA. As a key member of the finance team, you will play an essential role in supporting and executing a variety of projects and programs, leveraging your financial expertise in financial control, including planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting.

The Defense Enclave Services (DES) program is a ten-year initiative focused on enhancing IT services for over 370,000 end-users across 22 Department of Defense (DoD) agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial aspects of programs to support various customers.
  • Collaborate closely with program managers to define goals, develop and maintain program budgets and schedules, and analyze program performance against baselines.
  • Prepare and present financial forecasts, reports, and analyses regularly.
  • Participate in new business proposals and prepare proposals on existing contracts.
  • Act as a liaison between the Program Team and cross-functional departments for financial research, budget management, and cash flow monitoring.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of various contract types and support audits to ensure compliance.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and invoicing for all contract costs and financial data.
  • Lead the monthly closing process, ensuring accuracy in reporting awards, bookings, backlog, revenue, and operational income.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide reporting on actual program financial performance compared to forecasts.
  • Ensure accurate program billing, cash collection, and resolution of unbilled receivables.
  • Maintain program financial forecasts, including the development and management of program EACs.
  • Support program start-up and maintenance by ensuring correct project setups.
  • Analyze contract actuals for accuracy and ensure timely correction of any errors.
  • Create and deliver monthly reports to internal and external customers.
  • Ensure compliance with program financial customer deliverables (CDRLs).
  • Assist with ad hoc requests from internal management and external customers.
  • Work autonomously in addition to collaborating with teams at various organizational levels.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field or additional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience in Accounting, Finance, or Economics-related financial analysis.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing contract cost and financial data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Government Program Finance.
  • Familiarity with Costpoint, Cognos, Oracle Analytics, and other Leidos financial systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI.

Compensation

Pay Range: $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
