Mission description

Summary/Objective

The Financial Analyst has primary day-to-day responsibility for making sure the financial accounts are accurate, understood and assisting other departments as a true a financial partner.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Report to the company's CFO
  • Provide timely periodic and ad hoc financial reporting results to management team, analyze and communicate variances to plans and provide performance improvement recommendations.
  • Oversee the monthly consolidation process within the group and deliver a complete analysis of financial results, within the deadlines requested by the company's management, GE and Safran
  • Responsible for the Financial Planning and Analysis of the company
  • Develop, deploy, and communicate on-going monitoring of relevant business metrics, across financial and non-financial areas.
  • Assist other department to follow their financial performance and evaluate financials on project and deals
  • Conduct continuous improvement actions and system upgrades to streamline the administrative processes and improve performance of the company.

Required Education and Experience

  • BS in accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CPA highly desirable
  • 5 years' experience in financial controlling or equivalent
  • Experience working with information technology staff to manage finance and accounting software packages.
  • French speaking is a plus

Additional Eligibility Requirements

  • Strong Microsoft office competency (strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel)
  • Understanding of general ledger coding
  • Understanding of accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls
  • Experience working with information technology staff to manage finance and accounting software packages.
